Aged and Disabled Services
Murray Shire Council's Multi Service Outlet provides services to the Murray Shire through a variety of individual services.
These services are funded by the State and Commonwealth Governments' through the Home and Community Care (HACC) Program. The HACC Program is designed to assist the frail aged, people with a disability, and their carers, who in the absence of basic maintenance and support services are at risk of inappropriate or premature admission to residential care. Therefore, the Program is designed to enable the aged and disabled to remain in the comfort of their own homes and retain their independence for as long as possible.
All services charge a fee for service, which is negotiated with the Community Services Manager, Sandy Kirchhofer.
The services provided are:
Centre Based Day Care
Community Transport
Home Modification and Maintenance
Information, Referral and Coordination
Meals on Wheels
Neighbour Aid
Special Mobility Vehicle Safety
